Girabbit

Quick expert verdict
The Channel Islands Girabbit is a high-performance shortboard designed by Jordy Smith for vertical, rail-to-rail surfing. It excels in good to pumping waves, handling conditions from 2-3 feet up to overhead. While Jordy Smith, a larger rider, appreciates the full rails for extra beef, the board is also considered accessible for intermediate to advanced surfers. Key features include a substantial amount of rocker in the nose, a full rail that aids in paddling and provides stability, and a wider tail than typical shortboards, contributing to glide and versatility. A single concave runs through the board, promoting drive. Pros include its ability to hold speed and rail through turns without chatter, its responsiveness, and its versatility across different wave sizes. Cons are minimal, though some reviewers suggest it might perform even better in more powerful, cleaner conditions than those tested. Overall, the Girabbit is a well-rounded performance shortboard that offers a good balance of drive, control, and maneuverability.

đŦOfficial Presentation of Girabbit
Jordy looks to his Girabbit design when the waves have some push. Best used as all-around shortboard for above average surf. Single concave throughout means the Girabbit works best when on rail. A fairly aggressive tail curve allows for tight radius turns. Ride this board your same height to 3âŗ longer than you are tall. Jordy is 6â3âŗ 190 and rides his Girabbit 6â3âŗ x 19 1/4 x 2 5/8 @ 33.1L
