Girabbit surfboard

Quick expert verdict

The Channel Islands Girabbit is a high-performance shortboard designed for vertical, rail-to-rail surfing, developed with Jordy Smith. It features a substantial amount of rocker in the nose and a full rail, making it a good paddler. The wider tail offers more glide and requires less effort to maintain speed, allowing for a wider variety of maneuvers. Its single concave contributes to its drive. The board excels in good to pumping waves and is suitable for intermediate to advanced surfers. Key features include a lot of tail flick for quick turns and a full rail that provides extra beef for heavier surfers while remaining accessible to average riders. Pros include its performance in good waves, paddleability, and versatility in maneuvers. A potential con, mentioned by one reviewer, is that it might not perform optimally in less-than-ideal, gruff conditions, and its full rail might be less suited for lighter surfers seeking extreme looseness.

đŸŽŦOfficial Presentation of Girabbit

Jordy looks to his Girabbit design when the waves have some push. Best used as all-around shortboard for above average surf. Single concave throughout means the Girabbit works best when on rail. A fairly aggressive tail curve allows for tight radius turns. Ride this board your same height to 3â€ŗ longer than you are tall. Jordy is 6’3â€ŗ 190 and rides his Girabbit 6’3â€ŗ x 19 1/4 x 2 5/8 @ 33.1L
