Body Position
Lie centered on the board. Arch your back (cobra pose) to keep the nose slightly out of the water. Your feet should be together and slightly raised.
The Reach
Reach forward with one arm, extending as far as comfortable. Enter the water with your hand relaxed but fingers together.
The Pull
Pull your arm deep through the water, alongside the rail of the board. Keep your elbow high. Accelerate the stroke as your hand passes your hip.
Rhythm & Breathing
Maintain a steady, alternating rhythm (crawl stroke). Breathe rhythmically with your strokes. Keep your head steady to minimize drag.
